Food Pub of the Year 2009 (The Publican Awards) and The Green Initiative Pub 2009.  Great food, local ales and ciders, an extensive wine list in a relaxed informal village pub.  Real log fires in winter and a large sun terrace in the summer all add to the wonderful atsmosphere.

Our menu changes regularly but is always focussed on simple food cooked well.  We use local seasonal produce to ensure our food is the best quality on offer. We source our produce from some of the best local producers and get some produce from our own farm less than 2 miles away.  We hold a regular special night on the first Monday of each month themed on dishes from around the world but using local produce.  We also hold Gourmet Nights throughout the year for the food and wine conoisseurs amounst us.

On Sunday 13 June 2010, there’s fun to be had at the Walford Village Fun Day for all the family.  Various activities and events will be taking place at the Village Hall and the Village Pub.  The Mill Race will have their annual Food Fair of local suppliers in the garden and will be serving a Hog Roast, Barbeque and Cream Teas with Drummonds Strawberries.  There will be craft stall, games for the children and competitions throughout the day.  Local bands will be playing from 4pm.  The event is free and starts at 2pm.
