Sue Eden established Newent Osteopaths over seventeen years ago and moved to The Coach House five years ago.  Penny Kavallares has been at the practice for nearly four years and both Sue and Penny are registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the profession's regulating body.

Newent Osteopaths also has a Complementary Health Care Team
providing care in Acupuncture, Chiropody and Podiatry and Homeopathy

OSTEOPATHY and CRANIAL OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is the modern development of two of the oldest forms of medicine known to man -  massage and manipulation.  It is now recognised as an effective treatment for a wide range of painful disorders because it stimulates and decongests the soft tissues, improves joint function and reduces pain and creates an environment in which the body has a real chance to heal.
Cranial osteopathy is safe and effective and can be used for all kinds of problems and conditions.   Its refined and subtle techniques use very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage the release of stresses and tensions throughout the body, including the head.
To make an appointment, please contact Newent Osteopaths on 01531 822392
ACUPUNCTURE
Linda Gaiderman, Lic Ac, MBAcC. Sometimes described merely as a means of pain relief, traditional Acupuncture is actually used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Its focus is on improving the overall wellbeing of the patient, rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms.
For more information about how acupuncture could help you, contact Linda direct on 07789 714319.
CHIROPODY and PODIATRY

Justine Johnson joined the team as a Chiropodist/Podiatrist two years ago.  She runs a Monday morning surgery here every week.  Justine qualified in 1998 at the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead and then went on to be registered with the Health Professionals Council (HPC).  Taking a professional yet friendly approach with her patients, Justine believes it is important to take a holistic view and is careful to tailor treatments to the individual's needs.  Justine's services include nail cutting, paring of calluses and corns, in- growing nail correction, advice on treatment of verrucae and athlete's foot, heel splits, fungal nail infections, reduction of thickened nails and much more.
Helping to keep you mobile and pain free - call Justine on 01600 719903 or 07747 096464 to make an appointment.

HOMEOPATHY
Tracy Batham was inspired to become a Homeopath following the successful treatment of her children for ailments such as asthma, ear infections and urinary problems.   She studied for four years at the British School of Homeopathy, which was founded in 1985.   This school follows the principle of classical homeopathy laid down by Dr Samuel Hahnemann.  Tracy is a member of the Society of Homeopaths.   All registered homeopaths work in accordance with a code of ethics and practice, hold professional insurance and clinical assessments before being admitted to the register.
To make an appointment, please contact Tracy direct on 01452 830004
COUNSELLING

Helen Palmer is a BACP Registered practitioner and a UKRC registered independent counsellor.   She also has a BSc honours degree in psychology, which she feels adds a further dimension to her formal diploma training in psychodynamic counselling.   She is interested in the part mental life plays in overall physical well being, believing that the two are inextricably linked.   Helen is committed to an ongoing programme of personal professional development, which is a condition of continued accreditation with BACP as well as a benefit to her clients.   She also attends regular supervision of her work.
To make an appointment, please contact Helen direct on 01989 720247 or 07773 248744
