Press release from Ross Heritage Centre   08/02/2007

On 14th April this year we are celebrating opening our doors to the public 10 years ago in 1997 at Ross Heritage Centre.

To celebrate this, and the 50th anniversary of the Queens Visit on 24th April, we are holding a very special exhibition. This will consist of reprises of some of the best exhibitions we have had during the past 10 years.

Due to there having been nearly 100 exhibitions in that time, we are unable to put in examples of them all. Therefore we will be selecting a few of the more popular ones and doubling up on others. We are also holding a celebratory tea party for invited guests during the week of celebrations. This will include representatives of exhibitors, supporters and sponsors, as well as members of Heritage Services in Herefordshire Council.

Further to this I am asking readers if they would like to give us suggestions of an exhibition or exhibitions we have done in the past that they would like to see again (albeit in a smaller version).

Anyone who has a suggestion we can consider is asked to put it in writing with his or her name and address and contact telephone number. Those who make the suggestions will them be put in a hat and the name drawn out will be invited to represent the thousands of visitors we have had during the years. Suggestions can be left at the Heritage Centre during opening hours clearly marked “Anniversary Exhibition”.

The exhibition starts Mid March so suggestions will have to be with us by 21st February latest. I look forward to seeing everyone during the exhibition. Full details will appear later in the press and on posters.
